Antonina Shevchenko, Antonina Shevchenko, a Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai MMA fighter from Peru and a mixed martial arts artist fighting for UFC. UFC for the Flyweight Division. She is in Kyrgyzstani. Valentina Shevchenko, a former UFC Flyweight title holder as well as UFC friend of hers is her older sister. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sport career by becoming a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko took the title and beat Suzane Miller in the finals via unanimous decision. Antonina followed it up and took home a silver medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008 a gold medal in 2011 and the year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia began her professional career in 2003, and she was the winner of the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012. She also won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 as well as the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas last at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina Schevchenko began the professional phase of her MMA career in 2002 after the victory over Anara Baanova at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She was victorious in the second round TKO after which she won 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to achieve a record of 3-0. Shevchenko took a break from MMA so that she could focus on the sport of kickboxing. She made her comeback with a win against Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa with a unanimous win. She was able to knock out Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. The promotion ended in 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko was matched against Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina defeated Nievera by her impressive striking ability at the end of the fight by using knees on the body. In the aftermath of this fight, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina took part in her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took victory in a unanimous decision, but fell in the second round to Roxanne Modafferi via an undisputed split decision. Antonina bounced back from the loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the prize of the night for the bout. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record over her next three bouts which included a win over Ariane Lipski, while falling to Katlyn Clarkagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO in the second round of UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
